Very interesting podcast Toby.
The journalist offered good insights into what can sometimes become annoying habits from some PR practitioners. In the same line of ideas, I often find that the journalists who I thought would definitely be interested in the story end up picking it up without a necessary phone call from us. So it goes to show that a newsworthy and targeted media release will cut through the clutter without follow up phone calls.
It's also interesting to hear his perspective on Twitter. We have been able to submit articles to journalists because they had tweeted about what they were looking for. This trend seems to be growing in Australia too.
Thanks for the great posting!

Very interesting stuff, thanks for this! This is how things work here in Germany as well and at the end of the day if a story isn't worth anything, the journalist won't get back in touch!
